The quote.-----------
Aviv quoted me about $1100 for coast to coast moving. They come to this amount without looking at it. They have some generally shabby way to calculate it. Do not fall for it, it does not matter what they use to build your phony quote.
The Pickup-----------The guy showed up on time. Since I was alone packing my items, I could not check the truck. Please check their truck once. They claim that the whole truck is reserved for you, but they will be taking someone else's stuff also. Make sure that they are doing what they are saying. I could not do this and before all my items could fit, the guy said his truck is full and I have gone over the said limit. So he asked me to come to truck and see. And he fooled me by showing his full truck. I honestly don't understand why they have to do this type of business. He doubled my quote. Wait.. he actually asked me to pay $2500. I had to make this move happen because of my work obligations.
The Transit.------------I asked for one month free storage and for additional 10 days they charged me additional $275.
The delivery.------------This is the biggest blunder and messy. They have no consideration for customer whatso ever. I had asked them to deliver on Feb 5th and they called me on Feb 1st and told that they are going to deliver on Feb deliver on Feb 3rd. I told them I cannot take delivery till Feb 5th, but they insisted that they have to deliver on Feb 3rd only.
And after some time their General Manager called me to tell how the transportation business works and he practically threatened me that if I wont take delivery it would cost me another $1000 more for redelivery.
Since my apartment was not ready, I had to take public storage and take the delivery. :(
Quality of delivery------------------All of my boxes are either torn and damaged. Every box has some problems. I am yet to open box and see.
