All in the Family Moving and Storage are scam artists masquerading as a moving company.
We were quoted $2499 for our initial estimate. The actual cost was $6100 due to no fault of our own. The estimator purposely left several items off of the estimate (for instance, he notated we had 0 clothes) to give us a lower quoted price, that way when we were locked in they can jack up the price by several thousand dollars after everything was loaded onto the truck. They also came a day earlier than we negotiated and told us we would incur an additional charge for them to come back the next day. It is completely unethical for All in the Family Moving to do this, but they don't care. The movers threatened to hold our furniture hostage and keep it in storage until we paid (advising us that we will be charged more storage and handling fees the longer they hold onto our furniture), so we had no other option but to fork over the money.
All in the Family was unhelpful when I reached out to them for compensation, and offered no explanations as to why the estimate was off by so much and the movers came on a different day than scheduled.
