Worst move of my life

I have previously completed 7 out-of-state moves, but this was by far my worst experience. It wouldn't have been so bad had Shane just handled a few situations differently. I really liked Shane at first and felt good about my decision to hire them. Then things started to go wrong and Shane's handling (or lack of handling) of these situations made this a highly stressful experience. First, my delivery was a month later than I was originally told it would be. I was initially told the route to Chicago from S. Florda was a regular trip and my things would be delivered the week after they were picked up. I called that next week to get a firmer day, and was told it would be Monday or Tuesday of the following week. No big deal. Then Monday rolls around and i have to call to get an update. The said they would call me back in an hour with an update, and they didn't call back at all that day. This went on for a few more weeks. At no point did they ever reach out to me to let me know what was happening; they just kept giving me dates and then reliving on those dates. It was highly annoying, but I was living with family so it could have been worse. I did have items in the delivery I would have liked to have had in the first month, and would have packed differently if I knew the actual delivery time would have been 5 weeks and 1 day. When the movers were moving me out of my apartment in Florida, they damaged the elevator in the building. I didn't see the damage and was notified the next morning that they had the movers on video cracking the glass when moving a couch into the elevator. I called Shane, and his response was "that's why I have insurance". I assumed at this point this was an unfortunate accident, but that he would handle it responsibly. They did not. Shane wanted to see the video, which didn't seem unreasonable, but due to the age of the security system it couldn't be sent to him. He told me he would go see it, but never did. At one point a month after the move I got a call from Allie telling me he would be down there that week to speak with the condo association director. He didn't go. Then last Sunday he sent me a text apologizing and stating he would not let another week go by without going down there. Still, nothing. I gave him the condo association number on more than one occasion, but he never tried reaching out. This week I got a call from someone instructing me on how to file a claim with movinglclaims.net, which is essentially a company that determines if a claim will in fact be filed. I have zero confidence this will end well. I am legally liable for the $3000+ elevator damage since I hired Agility, and my landlord did in fact threaten me with legal action when Shane was not responding to anyone. All Shane had to do was be professional. He could still do that, but I'm not holding my breath. Incidentally, the elevator damage could have been avoided. The movers didn't believe me when I told them the couch had been moved up to my apartment in the elevator. One of them even stated he had been doing this a long time and knew it couldn't have come up the elevator. At that point I'm not sure why were even discussing it - you are the movers! If you don't think it will fit, take it down the stairs! I suggested they remove the feet of the couch, but they laughed and said the feet were only a few inches and that wouldn't make much difference. Instead of taking it down the stairs or trying to remove the feet, they shoved it into the elevator and broke the glass. In all fairness, I don't know if they noticed the damage. The condo association said it seemed like one of them didn't notice but the other one might have. They joked after that they found a button to make the elevator expand. To make matters worse, the couch cushions didn't make it on the truck and were found still at Agility's location in Florida, so I can't even use the couch. He told me he would FEDEX them, and maybe they are on the way, but again, I'm not holding my breath. At this point I'm so tired of dealing with them I'm not sure it's worth it to follow up.
