Do you care about your personal belongings? If not, this is the company for you. I've moved interstate and internationally before, and never had move handled so badly as this one was. On the phone, I requested additional insurance, and was told that the company would get back to me about it. Sure enough, they didn't. When the pick up team arrived, A DAY LATE, they had no idea how to do it, so I just had to hope that everything arrived safely. The men who came to do the pick up were lovely, and easy to get along with - until they all but demanded a gratuity from my husband. However, we were told on pick up that although we it would take 7-9 days to receive our items, it could take as long as 21, and this was an error on the part of the man who arranged our move. Well, there was precious little we could do about it at that point, but I were on a pretty tight deadline as we had international travel booked, and booked it on the basis of our belongings taking 7-9 days to arrive. The quote was WAY off. Somewhere in the order of 1/3 of what the move actually cost us. I knew from the quote we were given that we were under quoted and expected to pay more, but surely this was a ridiculous difference! After five days, we attempted to call the company to make sure we were going to arrive and have everything with the new house sorted out before the movers arrived. They ignored our calls and emails for four days. Eventually, we managed to get them to promise delivery on the 14th day. We were told we were the first job for that day. We were called later that day to say that we were now the first job for the following (15th) day. We were called on the 15th day to say we'd be the first job the following day. After much explaining that this wouldn't be feasible as we were flying out that morning, we finally got someone to turn up with our stuff. They sent one man, who turned up at 7pm. No rebate offered for the amount of labor my husband had to do help him get everything inside. We were, on pick up, offered free storage here in NV, but when it came to the drop off, the offer was not repeated, so it was very much either accept the late night delivery, or I suppose our lives would have been left in the driveway. Honestly, it seems like something these people would do without a second thought. The man who did the drop off was likewise very personable, and I feel bad that he was sent to do such a large job by himself. It was immediately obvious that several pieces of furniture, including the bedframe, end tables, bookcase, dining table, and desk, had been damaged or were completely broken. Not to mention that the screws etc. for the furniture, which were in freezer bags and thoroughly taped to the items to which they belonged, didn't appear with the rest of our goods. We were skeptical about the boxes, as even those labelled 'fragile' were crushed and battered beyond the point of being recognized as boxes. Some were so filled with broken glass that unpacking was extremely hazardous. Neither my husband nor I feel that they took any care with any of our belongings. Also, I have to say, it was really fun finding out that some of our boxes were missing, and even more fun to open one box and to discover that it didn't belong to us at all. The company's attempt to fix this? Share the contact details of the probably owners of the box and have us drive out to meet them. Are you kidding? Part of me didn't want to tick the "stolen items" box, but I kind of had to. Our things may simply have ended up in someone elses house. Maybe those people liked them so much they didn't bother calling the company to return them. We wouldn't be half as angry or disappointed if at any point, anyone who worked for this organization had taken the least bit of responsibility for what had happened to our belongings. When I tried to speak to the customer service representative who apologized for our being ignored for so long to let him know how things stood, he hung up on me. Likely he deleted my slightly expletive filled (but deserved) voice mail about the situation without having listened to it. Seriously, if you are in customer service and your response to upset customers is to hang up on them, you're definitely in the wrong line of work. Ultimately, I would only recommend this company to one of my sisters in law, and only then because I really dislike her. Honestly, don't waste your time and money unless you like lousy service and have no desire to have your lives returned to you in one piece. My biggest regret was paying in full upfront. These people should have their licenses revoked.
