On a day that is typically stressful for most people, AAA movers managed to make this day even worse. They told me that pickup would be between 9-10am. I had family up to help me move promptly at 9am. As 10:30 rolled around, I placed my first phone call and left a message. 11:30, same thing. Around 12:30 Eugene called me back letting me know that the truck was in an accident on the way down and I would need to reschedule, which is not easy to do when your lease is up. I demanded another truck and moving team and by around 5:30, they arrived after finishing another move. They asked if I could drive one of the movers as there was not room for him on the truck. They charge you for packing materials, and when you say that you don't need the packing material, they say they can't move it without it. They charged a "stairs" fee. Even more frustrating than the scam they pulled that day was the scam they pulled before. I asked for references, so I could check them out. It turns out that the names that they gave me were actually employees of the company...Eugene..Lana...Mike, etc. What scheisters! I disputed the payment with the credit card company, and after 6 months, I somehow lost the dispute. I plan on filing charges with the county Board of Consumer Affairs as well as the Better Business Bureau. Every stereotype you would have about a moving company, AAA movers met to a T. Stay away from these disgusting people.
