I was suprised to find a company in the Houston area who specialized in smaller moves. I contacted them through their website and submitted a request to get a quote. I received a detailed response in less than an hour with a flat rate price for the job. I was expecting to be charged hourly and they do not charge any traveling fees or other stupid fees at all.
The guys showed up on time, were pleasant and shook my hand and immediately got to work. I was happy to see the extra care they were taking with the walls and door jams in the house moving the armoir. Just overhearing them talking amongst themselves reminding each other to "watch out for the wall" was reassuring. I decided to have them move a bed, couch, nightstand and several boxes to my daughters as well as I saw they had room on the truck. They quoted me a more than fair price to add those items and cheerfully took those things to my daughter as well. They even asked me if I would like to look inside the truck before they left to approve of the way they were transporting our stuff. I was VERY impressed.
She got all I sent her in perfect condition and commented how nice the guys were and how professional they were in moving the items into her home, and even helped her put her bed together. She is a single college student living alone and they went above board to accomodate her.
This company is a class act and I put their card on my refrigerator. I will CERTAINLY use them again for whatever moving needs I have.
