I selected Suddath Relocation of Eden Prairie MN based on internet reviews. They performed the estimate process at our home in 90 minutes. I booked the service order giving Suddath 10 weeks leadtime before requested delivery. They sent me an e-mail that said in part charges will be based on actual services used. Their estimate said this is the "binding" price based on the estimated description. Their estimate was significantly overstated versus actual bill of lading items loaded. I requested a credit to no avail. Suddath was 2 days late delivering, Suddath would not allow me to adjust delivery dates within the 4 day window. It is a 2 day truck drive from Minnesota to our new Colorado address (927 miles). Suddath gave me 2 weekend days to be at our new address. They took 8 days. I sat in an empty house for 6 nights waiting on them. They could or would not tell me where the moving van was. Then they said they couldn't find labor to unload my things, even with 10 weeks lead time. They subcontracted the unload labor even though they told me they only use Suddath trained employees. They charged me $13,555 based on the estimate, but they packed and loaded 30% less boxes, 10% less furniture items, did not need a "shuttle truck" in Minnesota or Colorado due to our long, narrow driveway, saving them lots of labor double carrying items. I calculated they overcharged me a good $3,500 bucks for material and labor not used! Beware of Suddath who estimates high, and then charges you anyway for materials and labor they did not need. Downright dishonest in my view.
