What a tough decision! Trust, integrity, considerate, efficient, and affordable, WOW! I found it all with this company. At my wits end, ready to drive a truck myself; I put out an internet inquiry and heard from Jim of Statewide VanLines. Their quote was lower than the 5 movers who came to access my weight. Could lower be better? Jim asked me what the others estimated my weight was, and he explained that he can save me money by not running out to access weight. He said the foreman would know, once the truck was packed. My antiques and other things were so important to me. Jim gave me wise advise:if you pack yourself, pack boxes as if you are going to throw them across a football field and an elephant is going to sit on them! He was right! Nothing broke! Their 4 men were very considerate, hard working movers who busted their butts to protect my things! Upon delivery, I told the foreman that the men in NY disassembled this and that & he reassembled those things.(easily finding all the screws taped to the item by the guys in NY). No tape marks on anything. I paid a little extra because I needed some heavy mirrors crated. NO SURPRISES. Good helpful attitudes. Timing was perfect: I liked that they did not charge more for a week-end pick up. At last minute the sale of my home was moved forward a few days and although Jim had some juggling to do, he was able to be flexible and move the pick up date forward. I also needed storage and they gave me one month free! Oh the other thing: There was a chance that I would have needed a shuttle because a 16 wheeler had never been seen on the mountain where I moved. It turned out to not be necessary, but their price for this was also lower than any one else! Unfortunately 5 months later, I moved back to NY. I did not hesitate at all to use Statewide VanLines. Yikes, I moved into a house that had no heat or hot water, so a few months later, again they moved me to storage first, and then a few months ago to Home Sweet Home! Thank you Jim & Jonathan! Feel free to contact me!
