Pickup 8/2/2013 of 33 pieces. Contract signed at pickup location with additional pages of fine prints with waivers in favor of movers, of course! Delivery was made on 8/16/2013 at 6:30pm. Driver claims he cannot turn into the street, and it requires added fees right away. He is unprofessional, yelling at me, and threatening to leave. He first states it requires a van delivery (which cannot happen on that day as it is conveniently after hours!), or a next day re-delivery (more expensive), before offering to use a hand trolley and bring 2-3 pieces at a time to my house from the truck located now 300ft away for an added charge of $250 upfront. I dispute the entire thing, since the city, and the police department told me that there were no restrictions. It is the driver alone that refuses to do the maneuver. After much heated discussion, an employee of Rhino gets the price down from $250 to $200. The delivery process is painful: driver obviously tired, and pausing to chain smoke, speak on phone. The items are stacked at bottom of stairs. One item is badly damaged. I prepared $50 for added floor delivery. Around 10pm, drivers storms in, hands contract to sign now, and refuses to continue to work citing a 10pm limit. This was NEVER stated prior to starting. I asked about the plan, and was told that he would send 2 guys the following day between 9-10am. I never heard back. I contacted the Rhino person who did not know anything. I was later told that the driver wanted $150 to come back. This is not a move for a single individual. This is extortion, and a blatant breach of contract. A day later after a delivery, my stuff is blocking the way to rooms, stair access, and I have to deal with the mess! This company lied. They do not use their staff, truck, but rather sub-contractors who are unprofessional, threatening, and unreliable!
