Platinum Movers is the most unethical company. They have done the following:
1) OVERCHARGED me on moving my parent's antique furniture. We paid a premium because we wanted a direct shipment and was told the items will not leave the truck and arrive in 2 days. They were wrong. The items were moved several times and arrived 1.5 weeks later
2) DAMAGED items. The amount of furniture that was damaged unfathomable. The movers who unloaded it said that they believed the truck must have turned over because they have never seen so much damage. I hired appraisers to provide an estimate on the damage and they said in 25 years of business they have never seen anything like this before. As a result, I filed a claim.
3) CLAIMS PROCESS IS A SCAM. I filed the claim and CSI, the claims processing claim company, informed that I will be receiving funds. This was last March and to date I never received the money. CSI informed me that they process the claims, but Platinum issues the check. I tried to call Platinum and they told me that they will issue the check. Never heard back from them and the number I was given was disconnected. Left messages on the 800 number customer service found on their website and never heard back. CSI now closed the claim because they also cannot contact Platinum.
If you are looking for a mover, PLEASE DO NOT USE PLATINUM! If you also have had this same experience with Platinum, please contact me. Apparently this company has been getting away with too much for too long.
