I used this company to move from Hagerstown back to Frederick MD and it was beyond stressful. This was the worst moving experience I have ever had in my life. The so called General Manager Autumn was incompetent and unprofessional. She needs to be FIRED. She didn’t offer a solution for her customer and was unwilling to compromise. And the only thing her sorry self could say is we look forward to your complaint. This is not a type of person I would want to work for my company!!!!
I was quoted $300 for the move. It was for a 1 bedroom apartment however when they got there they said it was going to cost me over $1200. That is totally ridiculous. They stated that all items have to be wrapped and there were certain items they wanted to take apart. I advised them there was nothing mentioned to me regarding having the items wrapped when I called for a quote of course all they talked about was the form they send you online. I advise them that, that information should be disclosed at the beginning. I even said could I reschedule so I could do so. Of Course, that was a HELL NO unless I pay a $300 cancelation fee which I had already given them a deposit of $100.
Therefore the only thing they moved was a couch, loveseat, TV stand (which they wanted to take apart, but I wouldn’t let them), dining room table w/o the chairs and approximately 5 boxes and a 2 drawer filing cabinet. I spent $600 for just that. It cost me that just to move there. The movers used unnecessary supplies. Just for the items they moved they said they used 12 rolls of tape which they charge $4.50 per roll and for the moving paid they said they used 13 which is $6 per paid. Again that is outrageous!!!
What is so said is my best friend and I went ahead a rented a truck and moved the rest of my things and we are only 5’2 and less than 150 pounds. We moved my queen size mattress and box spring, headboard, 2 nightstands, 6 drawer dresser, TV, TV Stand, Armoire, 10 boxes, coffee table and end tables, 4 chairs for the dining room table and more. After all that we should have done the entire move ourselves.
What pissed me off the most is I asked them if they were located in Hagerstown and they said YES. That was a flat out lie so I paid for travel when I was looking for a company specifically in that location.
I do not like moving, but make sure you do your research before using a company like this who has no integrity, compassion, or consideration for their customers. Companies like this can’t stay in busy if we don’t support them.
