Just wanted to share my past experience I had with Maxi Moving. While my move might not be the most complicated one (except for the walk-up part), I give them a solid A.
Scheduling: Easy Breezy. No deposit required and everything was communicated to me over the phone, as well as sent in the confirmation email.
Preparedness: My old building required a certificate of insurance as well as 40ft of masonite (they didn't ask for any of that when I moved in). I actually thought that it is something out of ordinary and they are just a little crazy. Ivan assured me that they deal with these things all the time, and this won't be a problem. So it wasn't... My management confirmed receiving the insurance paperwork and said we are good to go and on the day of the move, the movers came with masonite.
The movers themselves: Clean cut, professional workers. I had 4 men because of a 5th floor walk-up. All 4 guys were friendly, hardworking and quick. I was amazed by how delicatly the treated my HEAVY couch while being able to maneuver it in the tightest doorway.
All in all a solid A. Nothing scratched, nothing damaged. Would use these guys in the future, but I hope that I won't have to move for a while.
