Joy Moving & Storage was my selected company based on price and a recommendation from someone who used them. They were friendly and the saleman said all the right things, communicated regularly and effectively. They showed up on time and I liked the 3-man crew. However, I had specifically asked if the crew had experience moving front-load washers and installing the moving kit and was assured they were. The crew showed up and were clueless. We googled and printed directions for them. all this time they are playing/trying to figure it out, our hourly rate continued to run. The crew did move fairly quickly, however they were not as careful as they should have been and used brute force in areas where some common sense would have caused less damage to my items. I suspect they were not very experienced, and one of the crew told me that the 3 had never worked together before.
Due to pricing, I would not have been extremely unhappy with the move itself. However, in trying to make a claim for damages, I'm getting nowhere. The inbox of the contact person remains "full" so I can't email photos of damages as instructed to do. The person fails to respond to phone calls or emails. Once the move is done and they have collected, the customer service becomes non-existent.
I would not use the company again, nor would I recommend them if you can afford a more professional, more reputable company.
