These guys talked all the nice talk before the move. They provide lots of great references, and make you feel real good. They charge and average price, not the highest and not the lowest.
The problem is that they do a poor job of lading a truck for a cross country move, and they will completely drag their feet and waste your time when it comes time to pay up for damages incurred.
I bought thier "replacement value insurance" which was stated to completely replace of repair any item damaged by them no matter the age of the item. Sounded good. I bought it.
he problem is that they want to play a negotiation game of offers to settle. Even worse, they routinely take 6 to 8 weeks to respond to inquries. I have been working to get a claim settled for 11 month - no kidding - 11 months. It's a complete scam and my advice is to FIND SOMEONE ELSE TO MOVE FOR YOU!!!
If you choose to use Homestead Moving Systems, I'd strongly advise that you have a brother in law or other family member who is an attorney, because you'll need it to get settled when they break your stuff and don't pay.
