This was the easiest long distance move my family's ever had! I travel quite a bit for my career, and due to many wonderful reasons we've been able to relocate well over 6 times in the last 15 years. Let's just say we consider ourselves "Pros" when it comes to moving! We haven't moved in the last 5 years, so this time around the internet was a huge help. I took down all of the contact info from the reps I spoke to, and of course made sure to ask whether they were the moving company or broker--avoid brokers at all costs! Anyway, enough about me! Five Star: Right off the bat the salesperson was excellent, I hate to say it but being able to UNDERSTAND him was an added bonus! He knew the moving industry like the back of his hand, which I appreciate, and was quite the people person. Not only that, having such a large household like mine, I was looking for a moving carrier that worked with cubic feet, as it would be more accurate and cost-effective for me & Five Star does = added bonus! He even provided the estimated weight & rate in my estimate so I can compare all other companies. The crew who picked my belongings were right on time, courteous and worked like hell! Also, they just so happened to be ready to go out West so within 6 days from pickup (my family was already in Cali), we received our items. -even though I know from experience it can take up to 14 B.days. On pickup day, after the loading was done, myself and the foreman measured the truck and the estimate was right on target. I decided to pay in the full balance as there was no need to wait. The Rest is history and more than anything, this was the best moving experience my family's ever been a part of.
