We interviewed 4 other companies before deciding on Barrett. We had high quality furniture, including antiques and art, which we wanted to be moved cross country with great care. Most of the furniture pieces sustained some damage, a few had major damage which will be difficult and expensive to repair. One art object was damaged. One antique chair was broken. The movers failed to place their own id stickers on approximately 6 boxes, one of which was "lost" and never located. We had our own numbering system so we know it was on the truck and we know the contents from our master list. This box contained multiple non replaceable personal items. The company's position is that since it did not have their number, it did not exist thus we are plum out of luck.
We hired this company because they portrayed themselves as being the best, most caring and careful. They failed miserably at all levels.
Would I use them again? Not on a bet. No one deserves to have their posessions treated the way they did and then get not so much as an apology.
