My elderly parents can no longer live without assistance so they have come to live with me and my husband. I contracted with Alliance to move specific furniture and other items of my parents to my home and to provide packing services. The quote was based on the weight of the furntiure and items, plus the packing.
Prior to the movers arriving with the delivery I received a call from my parent's realtor telling me that many furniture items were still in the home. At 8:30 p.m., two sketchy movers showed up demanding cash payment in full for the entire balance, plus more for the "extra" items that they brought. After arguing with the mover for 30 minutes about the fact that 75% of the furniture was left in Oregon we had to pay in order for them to off-load the items which included my parent's bed.
My parent's king mattress was soaking wet on two corners, there was only one of their two pillows and the fitted sheet, in addition to leaving behind the other pillow, they also left behind the flat sheet, blankets and comforter. The dresser mirror was shattered.
I emailed and called the original contact, James, several times without any response.
I will pursue Alliance to the fullest extend of every agency and the law.
