Zero stars. I'm rapidly approaching 47 ;), and this is my 43rd move (prior military, now government. I think it's fair to say, I know about moving.
We received a flyer in Valuepak and decided to use them as this was a last minute move. Shame on me for not doing my due diligence. Moving on.
They showed up late.
There were three men, of Middle Eastern descent. I only state this because they played the "don't speak English game." Conveniently, when they needed something they somehow did; but somehow lost the ability when I tried to talk to them.
When we had first moved into the place we were moving out of, the TOTAL move, including loading and unloading had taken 6 hours. This move, took over 16 hours, and we moved less than 2 miles.
90 minutes after they arrived, only two things were in the truck, a mattress and a headboard. These pukes were just plumb lazy. Load an item and smoke some cigarettes, then drink something and pick their butt was the order of the day. Why? It was apparent very early on that they were going to milk the hourly rate as much as they could.
As it is, I ended up loading as much as all three of them did. This was truly disgusting in an industry that can be already be lacking in the integrity department.
We finished in the middle of the night. By then, I needed to intercept my wife as she was thinking that a life in prison might not be so bad so long as these three paid for their actions.
Then the bill came - almost $1700 dollars! I almost joined her in her beliefs right then and there. The extra charges were over $500, which of course had not been disclosed on the front end.
I told them to take a flying @&#! Leap on the incidentals! I ended up telling them if they didn't like it, call the cops, and they acquiesced.
Results - broken furniture, fridge, gouges in the walls, and doors; which means it will cost me more than just the move.
If you are reading this, I implore you to go with someone else; your experience with this company WILL END IN DISASTER!
