Due to my job I move every few years and typically I use Mayflower. When they company came out to provide my estimate they told me they did not have the day and time I was looking for to be picked up available. I have used other large companies like United in the past but had less then pleasant experiences. Mayflower does a good job but it is usually much higher then all the other quotes I get. So I started looking for local companies that I could use but a lot of them did not do long distance. The companies that said they did I wasn't able to make an appointment for them to come to the house. Then I found Zip to Zip that met the criteria I was looking for. I did my due diligence and asked Kate a hundred questions which I was impressed she had answers for all of them. What sold me is she could tell I was still a little uneasy about hiring a company that I had never herd of, to move my belongings over 1000 miles away. So she said she did not want me making any decisions I did not feel 100% comfortable with and invited me to her office for us to sit face to face. We met that Friday by the time I left their facility I felt more confident then I normally do with any of my moves. I felt like I was family Kate gave me her cell phone number so I could reach her outside of office hours. The crew that arrived were great and even helped me catch my dog when she ran out the front door. The best part is it was literally more then half the amount my move usually is. I wish smaller companies like this got more credit because I would of been using them a lot sooner if I knew about them. I felt the right thing to do was at least leave a review to let as many people know about my experience.
