We were shipping my grandmother's antique dining table, buffet, and chairs from her house in PA to ours. Scheduling was very easy. We had a time restraint that was easily met. It took about two weeks for our furniture to arrive. Upon arrival, the movers told us that one of the chair legs was broken. The news wasn't great, but the way the company handled it was. The contractor movers said they would take it back to their headquarters and have their antique specialist repair the chair, then bring it back to us on their next trip out instead of having us report the incident to TransitSystems. We were really happy with this option because I don't believe we'd be able to get the chair fixed for the amount we would have been reimbursed for. If I had it to do over again, I probably would purchase more insurance, but we got the furniture for free and it needs some work, so were overall concerned about keeping the cost down.
