I thought I did a thorough job investigating moving companies. Sysco Moving & Storage quoted a good price and seemed to be very accommodating. Pick up was on time and the movers were very professional and curtious. This is where the good part of the move ends. The price ended up being more than quoted. I admit that I had more boxes than originally planned, but I also ended up leaving a lot of the big furniture, which was part of the inventory that I provided, behind because I could not afford to send it. When I originally asked Sysco Moving & Storage about the bad reviews that I had read and the cost difference, I was told that the customers had more freight than the inventory list that they provided. I now believe, from my experience, that the quoted price was underestimated. I was charged a long haul fee that was not what the contract indicated and the distance of the so called "long haul" was not measured by Sysco Moving & Storage. I was given excuses why the furniture was not delivered when originally expected. This is where the customer service went down the drain. They got very defensive and rude. The driver was also very rude when I tried to verify the story for the delay and he did not give me answers. I took a week vacation to help my son and daughter in law relocate to Florida and had to leave without the furniture arriving during my stay.
