I was moderately satisfied with their service. I had the following two problems ,that I read about previously in other reviews, but the representetive convinced me that it was a rare incidents and I would not come across these problems. I dont think it was the representative-Moran's fault. I think summits drivers and actual movers are the problem.
When the movers came in I found a paper that had a note from the company warning them not to "mess" with me since I have read the reviews in the internet. Despite that note the the movers asked for tips in advance - I refused until they completed their service and tipped upon delivery.
They also called me to tell me my weight was four hundred dollars over the estimated amount which cannot me true. Infact my inventory was so accurate that i even mentioned the two curtain rods (1lb) in the inventory list. My husband and I went through the painful process of measuring all the furnitures and weighing all the boxes so we wont get cheated! We had at least 10 boxes 500 lb less than the allocated box estimates and there was not even one item added over the inventory list. The estimater had told me that she has estimated the highest possible weight my items would weigh and i wont have to worry about exceeding the lbs. Infact she stated taht if the inventory was accurate- I should have lower lbs not higher. The price was binding not to exceed.
However, after the pickup Summit called me to tell me how my weight was more than the estimated amount- I argued its impossible becasue I weighed every single box and they came 500 pounds and 10 boxes less than the estimated quote. Moreover, I had no additional items in the inventory list!!! I also reminded them that I had a price not to exceed contract! Well anyway- in the end they agreed to the price that they quoted and delivered my items. I didnt open any boxes to evaluate my things are in tact.
Overall My experience was satisfactory because I was very cautious about not geting scammed and my goods were eventualy delivered at the estimated price and on time. So if you have the time and energy to be extremely careful and catious and can keep an ABSOLUTE accurate inventory lsit than maybe you can take a chance to use this comapany and overcome the above problems.
