The sales guy and customer rep, Jason, was smooth and professional but not all that trustworthy. He said things to placate me, but did not seem like he really knew what was going on. After we had agreed to the first quote and put down a deposit, he called and said, sorry, made a mistake. Its not the amount I quoted you, but $220 more than that. This was the first indication of how things would go. The managers were more to the point. There are hidden charges that you are not told about up front. We asked many times if the cost is all inclusive and were told yes. Yet at delivery were going to be charged many additional fees to get our stuff. We worked with the driver to unload the truck to avoid a few of these fees but were still assessed 50% of an overnight fee we were not warned about. I live on the first floor, but was going to be charged a stairs fee. The driver called us two days BEFORE the earliest delivery date that my husband gave them wanting to deliver our goods. We were still two states away. We tried to change our plans but cannot drive like a trucker with children in the vehicles. The guy doing the delivery did not work for R & C, but another company. The two companies did not communicate well, and my husband and I have to be the middle man in the conversation between the two. When the manager finally got on the phone, he said he picked an arbitrary date and we did not tell him that we would not be here. We did, and my husband set that date as he is military and takes leave for very specific dates. Overall, I wish I had gone with a slightly more expensive, but more reliable company with their own trucks. It would have saved me hundreds of dollars.
