Do Not Use NY Moving and Storage

This company should not be used under any circumstances! At pick up they did not bring enough packing material, the truck was too small, and improperly packed our belongings. Carl, the team lead, immediately started to renegotiate the contract on all terms, including price, for cash instead of agreed credit card payments, and goods they would be able to load. They asked us to leave behind some of our heavy items, and complained about the amount of work there was for them to do. We ended up having to give away a complete bedroom and our outside furniture because it would not fit on the truck, in spite of the fact that they agreed to a flat rate for all items.
Michael agreed to deliver our furniture in Arizona in 3-4 days, yet when I called to confirm delivery they told me by law they had 3-4 weeks, and that they were losing money on the move anyway. They basically told us "next week" each time we called, and offered to deliver our stuff back to us in PA rather than AZ if we didn't like it. Then the owner, Kalil finally offered us a discount for being late, which when I asked about it at time of delivery, of course no one new about and I was forced to endure another round of people yelling at me about how much money they were losing on this move.
When they finally did show up with the furniture, they immediately started to look for additional help because they were understaffed to do an unload and unpack. They said this was their first time working with "that company" and that none of this was their fault. The furniture was delivered with major damages, missing pieces, and smashed and shattered all over the place. They even managed to bend a cast iron table, chip paint, break off legs, crack glass and monitors, etc. It was obvious that the shipment was not packed properly to start with. I distinctly remember calling an asking if they were prepared to pack computer equipment, and they said, yes, of course, that they were experienced movers and would do a complete pack and ship. I opened one box with a monitor, keyboard and printer in it with not ONE piece of packing material in it. It contained those pieces and one of my own pillow cases, period.
Now I am in a dispute over damages and cannot get a call back from anyone. Do not use NY Moving & Storage Corp, with an address in Yonkers, NY. Check it out on google map, it's a convenience store!
