Neighbors are brokers that set up your move with another company for a fee of $400, which they do not tell you. They will give you an 'estimate', which for us was $1400 less than the actual cost! They also verbally promised a pick up date, said they are talking to the driver and confirming, which was a lie. They were two days late for the original pick up date they promised.
They used Moving Connections, Inc. for our move which gave us the most horrible service. My 70 year old mother wrapped her mattresses, but they still charged her. During the loading they suggested they put her things in other boxes, which she was not told she would be paying extra for. She thought it was part of the original 'estimate' from Neighbors. The total cost ended up being $1400 more than the 'estimate'. During the time they were holding our furniture, we were told we had to pay 50% before they would even schedule delivery (never told to us by Neighbors). We called them at least twice a day for two weeks trying to get the furniture delivered only to hear about trucks breaking down, and not enough drivers. When we asked Shaun, the owner, for a discount, he put us off until the actual day of delivery and would not take our calls. We had to pay or not get our stuff. Neighbors is bad, but Moving Connections, Inc. is even worse.
