I moved from Centreville to Ashburn (both in Virginia).
The movers arrived three hours late, without providing any sort of update to me until I called after their allotted window had lapsed. Ultimately, they showed up at 1PM for my 8-10AM window. The crew also refused to admit any wrongdoing XXXthe only response I got was, "Wasn't my fault. Truck broke down. I'm not late."
They also refused to take several of my things, despite them being well packed and there being plenty of room on the truck. For example, they went out of their way to remove light bulbs from several lamps because they wanted to charge me an exorbitant fee for bubble wrapping anything made of glass. They also refused to take linens and pillows that were packed in bags, because they wanted to charge me for a completely unnecessary box to put the bags in.
Also, I am sure I was overcharged. First the driver gave me an invoice for six hours. The move took less than four hours (the minimum) and even with one hour of travel time, that would be five hours. However, I was supposed to have one hour free because of when I signed up. I was able to get the driver to make it five hours, but I still feel I was overcharged by one hour.
I followed up with the corporate headquarters after my move to explain my problems, and give them a chance to redeem themselves by offering me at least an apology (preferably a refund too). They have never bothered returning my phone calls or e-mails.
I do not recommend anyone ever use Movers USA for anything. Ever.
