Received written estimate from Josh for $2400 to include 8000 lbs, normal disasembly and reassembly, professional wrapping of all furniture, deposit of $300 given, pick up date of 12/15 and delivery date of 12/17-12/20. dispatch called day before with a pick up time of 8-10am and 4-5 hours of loading time, truck arrived at 4pm and took 9 hours to load, they took apart every single end table, side table and boxes them up instead of wrapping them as furniture. They also plastic wrapped the furniture instead of the padding expected per contract. The driger, Monty, made my husband sign a new blank contract that voided the previous one before they would even start said this "is standard" then the new amounts were filled in and we could do nothing about it. Then dispatch called on friday night to tell us the delivery would be sunday 10-12 noon and there wass an additional charge of $1350 for the packing, as we had everything boxed and ready for them, I disputed this and was told that it was for the large boxes they put the furniture in and the plastic wrap they used and we had to pay the full amount or not get our stuff. Plus it had to be a postal money order (the original contract said cashiers checks were okay and I had one from my credit union in Utah, Shane said they would not accept that and I had to borrow the entire $3486 from family and mail the cashiers check back to Utah) After obtaining the new postal money orders we arrived at the house on sunday 12/19 per their call and no one ever arrived. They said the driver was shut down and it would be monday morning at 10am, we had to get a hotel for the night. All day monday and tuesday we continued to get lies, changing delivery times, no calls back, endless excuses, all the time waiting in an empty house with no furniture, sleeping on the floor, waiting for a delivery that never came. Finally tuesay afternoon the driver, William, callss us, he has been broke down in New Mexico for 3 days and will be there wednesday afternoon at 2pm. After dispatch continually told us he was "on his way" "stuck at weigh station" "stuck in bad weather" this proves it was all lies. They were three days late from the original contract, and falsly inflated the price by $1350. I feel this is the worst case of bait and switch ever. This company needs to be investigated and their poor customer service and business practices reviewed.
