The pick up and delivery times were fine; no problem meeting the quoted price.
Problems: First: 9 boxes ended up missing, nearly all furniture was broken and destroyed, including beds, desks and bookshelves. My son's professional equipment did not make it to us.
Second: It took this company 10 months to direct me to the proper person to ask for compensation. They gave me the 'run around' quite a bit. Unanswered e-mails were the norm. I was already abroad, so I was "out of sight, out of mind". I took a trip to the USA in April 2011, and while there, spoke with this company's insurance company. Only after speaking with them, and then waiting for 2 weeks, I was then informed that they would not be representing Echo World in my situation. Why? No explanation was offered by either Anthem Insurance or Echo Trans World company.
Third: their compensation offer finally arrived to me, coming 10 months after delivery of the items. The offer was not enough to recover even one of the items that was damaged. After I refused it (it was for $135!), they put me off and it took me another few weeks to reach the responsible person for another compensation offer. I wrote 7 times during this time period, with no answer from my 'former' contacts there. As a side note, my communications were polite. Delivery was the 1st week of October 2010. It is now July 2011, and my compensation is still not settled. I am still waiting for them to make me a fair offer.
In my opinion, I would NOT recommend this company to anyone. After you pay them, they do not consider you a customer anymore, and treat you accordingly.
