americas moving services set up our move from cali to new york and our delivery was early last week and I was asked whether or not I could post a review here breaking down our move. These guys have done 6 or 7 corporate moves for our company and the other moves went very well and we use several other vendors for corporate moves and we chose them for our move. Our move was not so simple because there were a few hurdles involved, first, the storage unit we had our belongings in was off the beaten path and their semi could not get anywhere near the unit so they had to park it outside of the facility and rent a smaller truck from the storage company which was a real pain because it took them 8 hours to pack our boxes, load the smaller truck and then unload into the semi, this process was very backbreaking for the crew. Next, they had to leave california and we had a stop-off at another storage unti in texas which was easier because the truck could get within 25 feet of the unit, then they were off to new york with a few stops in between for other customers. Our pick-up in california was on August 26th and they finally made it to us in new york on september 9th and to our surprise there were no damages other than a few scratches on a dresser used in our spare bedroom. The crew was amazing and really handled every aspect with professionalism and after seeing these guys work so hard we will be sure to let each and every one of our colleagues know the type of work they do. Also, our move was pretty big and although our quoted price was $8900.00 our price went up a couple of hundred dollars due to the shuttling fee at our storage unit in california which they charged $500.00 for and we tipped the guys $200.00 each which brought our final tally to just under 10 grand which our company paid up to $12,000 in moving expenses so we were not only under budget but treated very fairly by the company and the movers.
