The first reason I used America's Moving Services was that my cousin used them a year ago for his move from New Jersey to North Carolina and was very good friends with one of the owners. He had known Eric since high school and when he found out Eric owned a moving service he contacted him and set his move up through them and had an excellent move. My company was paying for a portion of my move and provided me with a list of vendors that moved other employees and I had a few of them do a visual survey of my house and quoted me prices for packing and moving along with storing my items for up to 2 months. My company was paying up to $3,000.00 total for my move and the quotes ranged from $7,500.00 to $10,000.00 BEFORE the storage costs meaning that I would be responsible for at least $1,500.00 towards the move. I contacted my cousin who referred me to America's Moving and asked Eric to call me to set up an estimate. I forwarded him via email the 4 other visual estimates I recieved and asked him to crunch his numbers and see what he could do pricewise. He called me back around an hour later with a quote of $5,850.00 WITH the storage included. I reserved my dates with him on the spot on my cousins word and along with their better business bureau rating. I can honestly say that I am very happy with the choice I made, not only did they get my items out on time, they did an incredible job packing, wrapping, and moving everything. They stored everything in a climate controlled unit in New York until I needed them delivered. I gave them 10 days notice as to when I wanted them to deliver ( I requested delivery for the 19th of July and they delivered on the 21st) and the crew that delivered was different from the men who picked up everything but they had no problem putting the beds back together and setting everything up that was taken apart by the other crew. In all, these guys not only saved me literally thousands of dollars, they did a killer job and I can't thank Eric and the crews he sent out enough. Took a huge load of my shoulders and made me a firm believer that quality doesn't come cheap, but you also don't have to pay the big boys major money to get a great job done. Our company moves 20-30 people on a monthly basis and I have already put their name into our vendor list in hopes to help them as they helped me.
