| Review: | My husband just got transferred/promoted. His company relocated us and took care of the details including setting up the movers. The move was a very pleasant surprise. The man called up to inventory the house, he was verypolite, professional, and told me about EVERYTHING over the course of an hour or so. I liked this after having everyone and their uncle touring my house in the recent days between real estate agents,inspectors and appraisers, I now know them all on a first name basis.
Day 1 Packing Day:
Two men showed up to pack the house, they were efficient, polite, and neat. I have only two negative comments about them. #1 They would leave the un packable goods ie. cooking oil and spray cans where they found them, so I was on a hunt to find what I had to take care of. After discovering this, I asked for them to please put all things in a central location, and they did, so this is not much of a complaint.
#2 When I unpacked I found an occasional box of goods that looked like the packers had opened a desk draw and dumped the contents into the box. This was a little annoying.
Day 2 Loading Day:
Sorry no complaints, they showed up on time, and they did not knock a wall or dent or scratch a thing!
Day 3 Delivery of Household Goods
They showed up within a day of the time given. The truck was un loaded quickly and for the most part all boxes were placed where I requested them to go. There was one guy if I didn't watch him, He would have dumped all boxes in the entry. But, the driver kept an eye on the people who were un loading and it went quickly. The also took out any boxes I had emptied. The driver assembled our beds. (that's all the un packing the company paid for)
In the end the driver asked us if we were happy with the services and did we have every item on the list, which we did.
In the past I have always had to make a claim with movers. Not this time. The move went very well and a month later I can tell you I am not missing a thing and there is no damage. We are very happy!
I would certainly trust yourmovingday.com to set our move up again......but, I hope it is going to be a while before we have to move again! |
