I called for lots of quotes, did a lot research, and I found rave reviews for Strong Young Movers on Yelp and Insider Pages. They were not listed on Angieslist, but I also checked them out on Better Business Bureau. A co-worker also recently used them and had a very positive experience. Strong Young Movers has an informative website, so I felt good about calling them. I had other recommended companies make my call list, but Strong Young Movers came in with the most competitive quote and was able to accommodate us on our preferred time, so I booked them with Barry for our big move to Lake Merritt.
Strong Young Movers offered a fixed price quote per their website, but given how much stuff my husband and I have, we opted for the hourly rate. We were quoted $95 for 3 men and a truck, $120 for 4 men and a truck. We ended up using for the latter.
On the day (earlier today in fact) Diego and his crew arrived about 15 minutes late, but did not disappoint at all. These guys work fast but are also careful. My husband and I have a lot of stuff, and the crew was hardworking, professional, careful, and efficient. They are good people and were very respectful with us and our stuff. My husband was especially impressed with how carefully handled his beloved A/V equipment and furniture. I was impressed by how well they communicated with us and how professional and clearly experienced they are. They earned our respect by giving us our most successful and smooth move to date so we really loved working with these guys XXXtotally recommended! I like them so much, I am posting a good review for them on Angieslist as well.
