DO NOT use this company for any move whatsoever. First of all to book the move I went through Straight Forward Moving but that is not who came to pick up my furniture. It was Moving Cross Country so I believe they may of changed their name. The reviews for Straight Forward Moving were good online so I decided to go with them and they gave me a very low quote. Come to find out it wasn't them I was dealing with. After I booked the move every time I tried to call the Straight Forward number I couldn't get through. One time I reached the main line and the lady was extremely rude and said I already had been picked up and why was I calling. I was told to buy "plastic wrap" for the furniture but was not told it was suppose to be the stretch wrap. The movers gave me attitude about this and said they should charge me more because they had to use tape for the plastic wrap I bought. I was originally told my items would get there anywhere from 1-7 days on the phone when I booked my move. Then come to find out on the paper work it said 7-10 days. I was given a number to call to see if I could locate where my stuff was. Every time I tried to call I got a different story. I was told my stuff wouldn't be there till the weekend when I was originally told they don't deliver on weeks. This was approximately ten days after they picked up the furniture. Then when I called on the day I was told they would be there I was then told it would be middle of the next week. I was never contacted by the movers at all like I was told I would be. I had to look online and find their number myself and contact them to see what was going on. The movers lied to me multiple times about the time they would be there and would never call me to say they were running late I had to continually call them. I didn't receive my stuff till 10 pm which is Ludacris. A bar stool of mine was completely missing, my TV stand was damaged and multiple glass items were broken. The boxes looked like they were tossed around. Also my other bar stool was damaged and falling apart. I am so incredibly disgusted and furious with this company. This company doesn't even deserve to be in business. Now I have to file a claim online regarding my damaged and lost items. I was told by the mover to call the main line and ask for a certain individual regarding the missing items and I did this and was put on hold FOR AN HOUR!!!!!!! I stayed on the line because I was so furious and needed to speak to someone. Its obvious they put you on hold and make you wait so you will just hang up. This company is a piece of trash and I hope they go out of business. NEVER AGAIN will I do this.
