No deposit so they don't honor quotes

My roommate and I contacted Move for Less/Promovers Miami after finding a few companies on Google; the owner, REY DE SILVA, called back and quoted $75 per hour for 3 men plus a flat fee of $37 for gas. He said anything over 3 hours would be charged at a half hour rate of $37.50 and sent this quote by e-mail including the date of the move. When asked why the company didn't charge a deposit, Rey De Silva said that it is hard to find business and they don't charge deposits so that people will choose their company. Good enough.
The day before the move, we called the company to confirm and were asked if the move was on the 31st or the 30th. After sorting this out, Rey said that the new total was going to be $400. Why, when we were quoted $262? Because we had "changed the date" according to him and he could "not honor the quote". The manager claims to have sent follow up emails (nothing received) which adjusted the quote - doesn't really make sense since he didn't know about the supposed date change until the day we spoke, no?
Don't use this company; you're in for a lot of broken expectations and having to reserve a last minute UHAUL and do everything yourself. I intend to post this negative review everywhere I find. You have been warned.
