Contracted move with Nate Black on 3/25/14, contract #MM3607548. As soon as deposit was paid, Nate ceased contact with me. Move was set for 4/14/14. I did not receive a confirmation for pick up time and inquired several times. I was told by dispatch that, although I had contracted for a specific move date, it would be another 2-3 days before anyone would arrive. As I was moving from AZ to FL with a flight the next day, I could not accept this. At 4pm another mover arrived and told me it would be an additional $750. The movers were clearly not professional movers, however, I had to have my items packed. No contact was made with me from this point forward. A week or so into the move I finally received a text message with photo copies of the moving contract. I continued to call McMovers daily to see what the status of my move was and each time they told me that they could not get ahold of the driver. I began to think that this was a scam and my items would never arrive. I spoke with Richie, Mitch, Alex, James and maybe someone else at McMovers and each of them gave me the run around and no one knew where my property was. I was eventually told that my things would arrive in FL at the end of April but they didn't know when because they couldn't get ahold of the driver. On May 7 I was told that my items would be arriving in the next couple of days but they could not confirm when. In an attempt to bypass McMovers, I asked for the truck driver's contact information. I was given his cell number. Each time I called (his name was David) he answered promptly and gave me an indication of when he would arrive. David finally arrived on May 11. When he arrived he told me to check every single item as he was concerned about the way things were loaded, the movers had been very unprofessional on the pick up end and things were literally thrown into the truck. As things were unloaded I took pictures and unpacked. Numerous items were broken, furniture was scratched, dented and dinged up, a chair leg was completely broken off, and an entire bed did not show up. I immediately contacted McMovers and they refuse to return calls, provide a claim form or information to submit a claim. They say they will email me one and it never shows up. I have emailed photos, a complete list of damaged or missing items. This has been forwarded to the pick up mover in AZ and no one will take responsibility, call me back or provide information on how to file a claim. Every time I would call they would put me on hold and never return. I would then call from another line and they would pick up. Once they found out it was me they would place me on hold indefinitely again.
